Major cigarette manufacturers in the PRC require packaging that is both aesthetically appealing to their consumers and capable of meeting their objectives of brand building. In addition, to counter the threat posed by the cigarette counterfeiters, major cigarette manufacturers require complex and high standards of printing on their packaging products to distinguish their original products from counterfeits.
	As such, cigarette packaging for leading brands of cigarettes manufactured in the PRC is usually printed with bright metallic colours, such as silver or gold, on high quality laminated paper. Gravure printing is better suited than the other printing processes, such as hot stamping, off-set printing and silk screen printing, to meet these requirements. In addition, gravure printing may be more cost-efficient and production efficient for high production volumes, compared to certain types of printing processes, such as off-set printing. The two types of cigarette packaging that we print are cigarette packs (for packing 20 cigarette sticks) and cigarette cartons (for packing 10 cigarette packs).
